A tuition-free virtual option for students in grades 6-12
Athens ISD has been leading the charge in innovative education options to serve students' needs. For students who are not enrolled in Athens ISD or are of post-graduation age, we are excited to offer a flexible learning option through our Athens ISD Virtual Academy. This 6th-12th grade academy uses accredited virtual courses from Edmentum and EdOptions Academy - tuition-free. These engaging online courses open up a world of content and possibility for students in a variety of different learning styles, while allowing learners the flexibility to move past content they have already mastered and focus on the concepts that need additional attention.

Access to an easy-to-use online learning platform with easy-to-use lessons and engaging multimedia resources
A flexible learning program created for your child's unique learning needs and goals.
one support, tutoring and counseling from certified teachers with regular communication via video conferencing, phone, and email; families will play a hands-on role in facilitating collaborative instruction.
In addition, your child will have opportunities to engage and connect with students and be part of our vibrant Athens ISD school community through events such as: sports participation, field trips, and school-sponsored events.
